A woman was rescued after falling from a cruise ship earlier this week, thanks to the quick response from cruise ship crew members.

According to ABCNew.go.com the victim, a woman who has not been identified, fell from the Norwegian Epic cruise ship on March 6th.  The ship’s crew was notified of her disappearance soon after the fall, and launched a life raft to look for her.

Passengers snapped pictures of the effort, which ultimately resulted in the woman’s rescue. The woman has since returned to the mainland and is reportedly doing well.

Norwegian Cruise Line issued a statement after the incident, which read in part:

"On the evening of Tuesday, March 6, 2018 a report was made that a guest aboard Norwegian Epic had gone overboard, while the ship was sailing near the Bahamas. As soon as the report was made, the ship maneuvered to allow the crew to begin a search. After recovery, the guest was taken to the onboard medical facility for evaluation.”
