John H. (Jack) Hickey honored to be a panelist on the Cruise Industry Passenger & Seafarer Claims Seminar on October 13, 2017. Hickey spoke about cruise ship design cases where injuries are caused by a fixed object. He addressed the recent holding in Pizzino v. NCL and discussed cruise lines' participation or approval in design v. constructive notice or knowledge of dangerous conditions. Over 100 maritime attorneys, defense and plaintiffs counsel, and law students attended the seminar at the University of Miami's School of Law.
