In yesterday’s blog we covered the fire aboard the Carnival Splendor. Today we look at the fire aboard the Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas cruise ship.
In July 2013 the ship caught fire. The cause of the fire was never publicly revealed. No one was reported injured in the incident. Every year there are several reports of cruise ship fires, with the most serious incidents leaving the ships drifting at sea. Such situations represent real hazards for cruise ship passengers and crew, which may be left without such basic services as plumbing and ventilation, as was the case with the Carnival Triumph fire.
