A ferry crashed into a crane in Barcelona last week, toppling the crane and initiating a fire.
The fire broke out when the massive steel crane fell on top of containers containing flammable chemicals. As workers ran from the scene substantial fire broke out. Authorities say that it took several hours to fully extinguish the blaze.
The ship’s owner issued a statement blaming the incident, at least partially, on the weather.
The ferry was carrying hundreds of passengers when the incident occurred. No one was reported injured.
