A quick YouTube search for the term “cruise ship crash” returns a striking number of collisions involving cruise vessels. While most of these incidents equate to colossal “fender benders,” it is nevertheless very troubling that cruise companies have not figured out how to avoid such collisions. The most recent such crash involving a cruise ships occurred just this month, when a massive ferry crashed into a cruise ship in Barcelona.
According to a write-up in the DailyMail.com, the ferry reversed into the Viking Star cruise ship, which was docked at port in Barcelona at the time.
There were no reported injuries stemming from the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
