A former passenger with Carnival Cruise Lines is suing the company, claiming that the company negligently failed to warn passengers of the hazardous conditions caused by a wet floor.

The plaintiff, Melissa Nini, filed her complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on December 5th. On October 12th Nini slipped and fell on a floor as she sailed on a Carnival cruise ship, resulting in injury.

In her suit, Nini claims that Carnival negligently failed to maintain its floors in a condition safe for its passengers, and failed to notify passengers of the hazardous condition of the floor.

Nini is seeking damages, interest, legal fees, and other relief.
