A 71-year-old woman was medically evacuated from a cruise ship off the coast of Oregon several weeks ago, after suffering a head injury while aboard the vessel.

Katu.com reports that a U.S. Coast Guard team was called to the Grand Princess cruise ship in the early hours of September 2nd, to assist the critically injured woman. After loading her onto the MH-65 Dolphin helicopter the crew provided her with medical treatment until she was passed off to a shoreside medical facility for further treatment.

The ship was sailing near Yaquina Bay when the emergency call sounded.
