The man was traveling on the Disney Magic cruise ship when he took an excursion tour with a company called Pro Divers on the island of St. Kitts. According to CruiseHive.com the man died while diving with the company.

The victim, who has not been identified, was traveling on the 1,700 passenger Disney Magic cruise ship on a seven-night Caribbean tour of the southern Caribbean. CruiseHive.com describes Pro Divers as a popular excursion on the island, and says that many cruise passengers use their services.

This is the second reported incident involving a Disney Cruises passenger over the past several days. On Thursday, a passenger was reported missing from the Disney Dream cruise ship. The male passenger was reportedly rescued after falling into the sea off the coast of Freeport Bahamas Thursday evening.

Though there have been several recent reports of cruise passengers being rescued after falling overboard, such cases are extremely rare. Sea rescues of missing passengers are made difficult by the incredibly adverse conditions found in the sea including choppy waves, adverse weather conditions, frigid water temperatures, and often slow response times.
