Cruise Ship Slip-and Fall: One of the Top Reasons Cruise Lines are Sued

Proudly Representing Cruise Ship Cases in Miami, Nearby Areas of Florida and Nationwide

One of the most common lawsuits filed against cruise companies involves passengers who slip and fall due to the companies’ negligence. A recent suit, filed against Carnival Cruise Line, alleges that the plaintiff was severely injured after slipping on a wet surface on one of the company’s ships.

The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division, against Carnival Corp on February 21, 2017. It alleges that the plaintiff was injured while sailing aboard the Carnival Breeze on February 23, 2016. While on the Lido Deck, the plaintiff allegedly slipped and fell on a wet floor near Guy's Burger Joint.

As a result of his fall, the plaintiff claims to have suffered serious injuries, which caused him to incur medical expenses and lost wages. The plaintiff holds Carnival responsible, and says that the company should use non-stick flooring and warn customers of the hazards posed by slippery floors.
