23-year-old Bandon Paul was reported missing from the Carnival Victory cruise ship Wednesday.

A Coast Guard search has so far failed to turn up any sign of the Floral City resident, who went missing as the ship sailed in the vicinity of Cuba about 3:30 a.m..

The Coast Guard’s search was proceeded by the Carnival Victory’s own search, which it immediately conducted when it was alerted to Paul’s disappearance. Cruise companies are required to aid in the search for passengers who fall overboard from their ships.

Published reports indicate that the Cuban government also assisted in the search.
